I don’t feel at home.

I’m in a strange place.
I feel so weak.

We used to walk together
and watch the campus squirrels play.

This place does not feel like home:

It’s not fair
that you’re not here.

I want to wake up
not miles apart.

I want to wake up
with you by my side.

Someday you will be here,
It’s not fair:

I don’t know when I will see you next.
I feel so lost without you.

I miss your sun-filled spirit.
I miss your golden aura.

One day we won’t feel like a dream

When I see you next,
I will feel at home
