Program Notes:

Totus Tuus uses text from writings by John Paul II and the Book of Ruth. After visiting Poland and meeting much of my family for the first time, I was inspired to write this piece. My family from Poland has a deep appreciation for John Paul II, so I sought out texts centered around his motto: “Totus Tuus” which translates to “totally yours.” I dedicate this piece to my Polish ancestry, and my cousins currently living in Poland. Your support, kindness, and open arms during my visit has given me the inspiration to learn Polish and learn more about my family.
